The double effects of sulfur-doping on MoO2/C nanofibers with high properties for Na-ion batteries

The S-doped MoO2/C nanofibers (S-doped carbon and MoO2 ) are prepared through a sulfuration reaction. For one thing, the introduction of sulfur into the carbon structure can significantly enhance charge transportation velocity and provide more additional activity sites to accommodate Nat For another, it is able for molybdenum disulfide with higher theoretical capacity to promote the Na+ storage. So we investigate the S-doped MoO2/C nanofibers as for SIBs , the electrode yields a high reversible capacity at 0.1 A g (-1) after 50 cycles (269 mA h g(-1)). Even at 5 A g(-1), it maintains superior long-term cycling stability and holds 86 mA h g(-1) over 1200th cycle. The whole synthetic process is high yielding, eco-friendly, making it suitable for large-scale production applications.
